First relaxed night ride of my life.
By Pam, Oakland CA.- Pam, Oakland CA 11/14/2007Hi Paul,
Happy happy happy is what my crazy neighbor says when he takes his
signs and sits at the Powell Street cable car turnaround, but it's
what I feel like saying riding my new bike! I rode home with it
Monday night and had so much fun I rode right past my house and kept going! The Down Low Glow gave me such a feeling of safety, knowing I was
seen, that I had the first relaxed night ride in my life. You're
right: the night ride is quality time. The traffic is much less,
the sun doesn't make you hot, I had lots of streets to myself, and it
gave me a real feeling of freedom. Thank you so much for inventing it!The bike itself is fabulous. It feels so zippy, even loaded. I
haven't ridden Sam again, but the 3 under-120 pound people I had on
there felt like nothing really. Yesterday I hit a clothing store,
the farmers' market (half flat of strawberries), the library and the
produce market in one trip. If I had been getting more groceries
than I did, I'd have needed to carry the strawberries on the snap
deck, so I've got to figure out how to do that. But so far this is
all making me very happy happy happy! Thanks for all you're doing for the world.
Pam
Brought home about 90 lbs today from Costco
By Jerry, San Francisco, CA..jpg)
Below is my bike loaded with about 50 lbs of groceries from a Costco run this morning. Lois and I brought home about 90 lbs today from Costco. I think you should order me a left-sided wide loader to match the right sided cover you are re-ordering for me. I may need a Stoker Monkey next.- Jerry, San Francisco, CA 11/14/2007
Election cycle used in Craig Kelley's city council campaign
By Craig Kelley, June 27,2005.- Craig Kelley, June 27,2005 4/25/2007My bicycle blender is a HUGE hit. Mounted to what is now known as the "Election Cycle" in honor of my City Council campaign (www.CraigKelley.org), it is really impressing people as an innovative way to get things done.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
And a year later, Craig writes:
"I took my Election Cycle to EMS yesterday … what really wowed them was the B3 blender with its finely crushed ice/banana/orange juice/raspberry smoothie. The workers at EMS really had trouble believing what they were seeing and one customer was going to go home and look it up on the web. And these were EMS workers. I suspect they don't impress too easily at this sort of thing.People keep telling me I must be a genius for inventing it, but I point them to you and say I'm just lucky to have found it…thanks again for such a great product."
