Fossil Fool helped create a party vibe at the Crissy Field alternative car expo, part of Step It Up 2007 in San Francisco.

I was asked by a film crew to explain the stretch chopper with the big speakers, and I said something like:
"I just feel that we have to turn up the volume on this whole bicycle thing. Bikes are such an important part of the picture when you look at making our cities more fun, more friendly, and more environmentally responsible. And yet, when you hear people talk about dealing with the problem of cars and global warming, they're always talking in terms of replacing bad cars with good cars. Replacing gas cars with hybrid cars. Replacing hybrids with plug-in hybrids. I'm more in the camp of replacing cars altogether, with people walking, smiling, noticing each other, caring about each other. I just want to ride around with these huge speakers on my bike to show people, you don't need a car to live well in the city."
At the tail end of Step It Up, I hooked up with some bike people for a great ride around the city, including dancing on the boardwalk at Ocean Beach.
