Can I use the Down Low Glow on a wheelchair powered by its own 12 volt battery? Or do I need to use your battery?

Yes, you can use the Down Low Glow light tubes on your wheelchair / electric scooter / electric bike, if it's powered by a 12 volt battery. You do not need to use the rechargeable battery provided with the complete Down Low Glow system.

There are two considerations in fitting the DLG to your vehicle: wiring it to your 12V battery, and dialing in the physical fit.

For the wiring you'll need to special order a female coaxial power connector from us for $7.50. This connector matches the male power connector on the DLG.

The power leads on the free end of this connector can be soldered / crimped / etc. to your battery. If you want a switch, we can provide a panel mount power switch for an additional $5.
