Just got back from sm critical mass. Many, many, many cops - at least
50 or so corraled us like cattle all over Santa Monica. At least a
dozen tickets handed out.
but the ride ended on a good note. As soon as we crossed into Venice
and the police were gone I busted out the soul cycle. People were so
intrigued by it. "dude someone finally started to bring a stereo to
this ride." "where's the battery...in there?...really? sweet!" I
talked to the guy who dj's downtown critical mass and he was in awe
of the soul cycle. He was so impressed by how small it was. We ended
up at Venice Pier, shared ipods and danced. see pics on
www.midnightridazz.com I'll post them to your site if you want. Not
sure how to do that.
Also, spoke to a guy named Julio with an xtracycle who said that he
just bought a soul cycle from you. there was also another guy at the
ride with single tube green dlg. And tons of people remembered from
the last time you were at critical mass. "the rapper with the fish
bike. dude he was awesome!"
one other thing - a good selling point on the soul cycle that some
people pointed out. The Soul Cycle isn't as loud as other custom made
stereos on other rides but it's plenty loud enough. And other djs
with more powerful systems are mostly afraid to ride with them in SM
Critical Mass for fear of getting a ticket. Although I won't turn on
my stereo until we reach safer areas like Venice, I probably could
play it the whole time in Santa monica without much problem.
anyway, the soul cycle was the party saver after all those tix from
the cops. thought you'd like to know.
