New York Times: Cars and Bikes can mix, when the rules of the road are clear.

Quotation:
Although the Times article didn't mention any safety products by name, two out of the four accident scenarios shown in the article would have been prevented or made less likely with the Down Low Glow, due to its superior side visibility.

New York Times Bicycle Safety article excerpt

In a June 6th article "Cars and Bikes can mix when the rules of the road are clear," Jane Brody highlights the importance of drivers and bicyclists acting predictably and communicating properly on the road.

The most interesting aspect of the article to me was the graphic "Collision Course," which shows four common causes of bicycle-car collisions. Two out of the four accidents shown, the first and last, could be prevented, or made less likely, with adequate side visibility on the part of the cyclist. The Down Low Glow provides better nighttime side visibility than any other light on the market. The article did not mention specific names of any particular safety products but did mention the need to use front and rear safety lights.
