Ben's wheelchair

I've got a new wheelchair coming in February, and keeping the lights very much in mind, I've ordered the frame to be polished titanium... that's going to show the lights off brilliantly!- Ben from the UK 4/4/2008
DLG is better than I thought
By Carl, Anaheim CA.- Carl, Anaheim CA 4/1/2008Paul,
Don't worry about Customer service. The DLG was delivered as predicted 2 weeks. Like a fine wine I understand good things take time. My belief is that the attitude towards improvement you have is the way to create more business. The DLG Green Envy Double is way brighter than I thought. Today I made my commute with them under full DLG Protection.
Can't thank you enough.
By Charlie, Chicago.
I got my DLG right in time for the Critical Mass ride, installed it (within 10 minutes!), and had the greatest time of my life that night! - Charlie, Chicago 3/11/2008
Cruising Manhattan with the Down Low Glow on a Trikke

Paul sent us this picture of the DLG on his Trikke. His friend just ordered the Plush Red so they can get some cool color fades going as they cruise. - Paul, New York 3/5/2008
The neighbors started coming out of their houses
By Jolly, from Washington.- Jolly, from Washington 2/17/2008I just recieved and installed the green envy down low glow lights and put flashing blue valve stem lights on my recumbent. The neighbors started coming out of their houses if they happened to see my go by. The few cars that were out, stopped and told me how great they look. It's a small, friendly town. Thanks for letting me know when the order was going to be delayed.
I have a NiMH charger and I would like to know what the voltage and Ah (if possible) of the battery to see if I can use this. Probably can't but it would be nice to know. thanks, jolly

Motorists give me a wide berth.
By Yellowdog, Boulder, Colorado.- Yellowdog, Boulder, Colorado 11/25/2007Thank you!
Submitted by yellowdog on Thu, 11/22/2007 - 01:34.I am a year-round bicycle commuter and I *love* my DLG! Motorists give me a wide berth and kids of all ages think my bike looks cool!
I used to have Spoke POV's on my mountain bike, but winter riding has degraded the boards and LED's. They are cool, but are cumbersome, crude, cannot be transferred between bicycles and add unnecessary weight.
I can easily move my DLG from my road road bike and mountain bike in less than a minute and the tube is durable and has survived riding in snow and torrential downpours.

First relaxed night ride of my life.
By Pam, Oakland CA.- Pam, Oakland CA 11/14/2007Hi Paul,
Happy happy happy is what my crazy neighbor says when he takes his
signs and sits at the Powell Street cable car turnaround, but it's
what I feel like saying riding my new bike! I rode home with it
Monday night and had so much fun I rode right past my house and kept going! The Down Low Glow gave me such a feeling of safety, knowing I was
seen, that I had the first relaxed night ride in my life. You're
right: the night ride is quality time. The traffic is much less,
the sun doesn't make you hot, I had lots of streets to myself, and it
Initially somewhat dubious...
By Jonobie, http://jonobie.livejournal.com/62449.- Jonobie, http://jonobie.livejournal.com/62449 10/30/2007I just got back from my first-ever nighttime bike ride. During our long summer days, I'd been really good about going grocery shopping on my bike once a week. But with fall in full swing, these northern latitudes get dark really early. It's typically dusk by around 5:30 and the sun has set by 6:00. I've had a headlight and blinkie lights for a while, but those never seemed quite enough to actually plan an entire trip in the dark.
A bus full of schoolchildren waived at me.
By Adam, rocbike.com www.rocbike.com.- Adam, rocbike.com www.rocbike.com 10/30/2007Tonight, a bus full of schoolchildren excitedly waved at me. I got compliments and applause as I rode through town. I struck up conversations with complete strangers. All because of an amazing bike light.
I’m always looking for ways to make my rides more safe and fun. Nighttime visibility is becoming even more important to me as winter approaches and the sky during my commutes grows darker. So I set out to research bicycle lights, and I came across a light that promised to not only ensure that I’m seen, but also bring smiles to people’s faces.
I love my DLG!

By Dave, Portland, Maine.- Dave, Portland, Maine 10/16/2007The DLG works well. Now no one can say "I didn't see you coming" on my commute home. Thanks again.
Thanks for the impressive customer service
By James, Seattle, WA.- James, Seattle, WA 9/14/2007Thanks for the impressive customer service. I just sent back the defective light.
I was totally surprised that you paid for the return shipping.
I already test-plugged the new light into the battery. HO-LEE Crap!!! It's so bright. Teamed with my "hokey spokes" (heard of them? www.hokeyspokes.com) and the other assorted lights and reflectors... I may cause an accident because of the distraction...
It made night tours an absolute blast
By Roberto, San Francisco CA.- Roberto, San Francisco CA 9/6/2007Paul,
I was just out rockin' the Down Low Glows at BRC this year, and wanted
to send you a note of thanks. I talked to Kai, and he said he met you
out there. It's funny we both ended up with them on our own. All
together we had four bikes with them on, and it made night tours an
absolute blast.I have them on my matte black paratrooper bikes that I've also
outfitted with overdriven electric hubs, so the things look a little
scary. I'll have to bring it out for the next cruising event. Pedaling
with electric assist, I was easily doing 30mph on the open playa,
I work 3rd shift, and ride my bike to work.
By Chris. They are absolutely wonderful! All of my friends have been dying to see the lights on the bike. I work 3rd shift and ride my bike to work and these will definitely be better than normal lights. - Chris 8/26/2007
[Down Low Glow is] Very cool, indeed.
By Michael, San Diego, CA.- Michael, San Diego, CA 8/19/2007In January of this year I bought a double green set of
lights which I just loved the first time I rode with
them. As a commuter, I was amazed how much more
attention I seemed to get from cars in the dark of
winter. In fact, my first trip home down a long hill
where I can keep up with traffic on my bike, a cop on
a cross street noticed me and started to tail me out
of curiosity. As a result, a few blocks later when
some knucklehead cut across 2 lanes of traffic and
nearly ran me off the road, the cop was right there to
pull him over and give him a ticket. Very cool,
indeed.
Ranger kicked us out of the park, wanted to know about the DLG
By Soren, Mountain View, CA.- Soren, Mountain View, CA 8/6/2007The park ranger gently evicting us from a BBQ last weekend saw my bike (glowing at dusk, of course) and said, "wow, what's that?!" "A down low glow," I said. "No, where did you get that?" I gave him an xtracycle card. I even remembered to write my name on it that time.
Here's another for you:
A week or so ago, some kids startled me on the way home, but I caught up
to them at the stop light and growled a bit (they cowered a bit). I
should have brought my squirt gun (*). But then a couple nights ago, a
guy (in a car) pulled up next to me and said, "what is that on your down

I was surprised how bright it is.
By C.J., Nashville, TN.- C.J., Nashville, TN 6/7/2007I called C.J. today to see how he was liking his Down Low Glow so far. Jay Broemmel's Golden Gate Bridge Bike
By Jay Broemmel.
The Golden Gate Bridge bike is an icon of Bay Area bike culture. It's functional as a Mission Cruiser, beautiful as artwork, and quirky with working LED tower lights and cars on the roadway. Of course, the Ice Blue Down Low Glow helps to create the illusion of water under the bridge. - Jay Broemmel 6/7/2007
I was more visable at 11pm than I am at 11am.
By Josh , Walled, Michigan.- Josh , Walled, Michigan 5/26/2007Just got my DLG in today. Charged it, hooked it up to my 24" bmx cruiser and rode 10 miles at 11pm. Simply put, I was more visable to traffic at 11pm than I am at 11am. These lights rock!
It still works perfectly.
By Bob Farr, Austin, Texas.- Bob Farr, Austin, Texas 5/26/2007Paul, Remember me? This is Bob Farr from Austin, TX here. You sent me a DLG maybe a couple years ago after we met at Interbike. I wrote you glowing review in Cycling News and I think I'll be doing a follow-up next month, just because it'll be so easy to rave about.

Feeling much safer during my commute
By Eric, Seattle, Washington, Winter 2007.- Eric, Seattle, Washington, Winter 2007 4/25/2007Dear Paul,
I am a regular daily bike commuter, for the past eight years. I have been using the Down Low Glow since we went back to standard time, as it gets dark pretty early up here, this time of year. I have to say I'm very pleased with your product, and am feeling much safer during my commute (and it is quite fun too!).
I anticipate that many people will be riding up next to me and asking where I got this contraption. So if you see a bolus of orders from Seattle, you'll get an idea of where the referrals are coming from. I suspect this ordering pattern happens to you a lot.
I've never felt so visible
By Bob, Seattle, WA.- Bob, Seattle, WA 3/20/2007Hey, Paul:
All winter long as I rode through the dark rainy streets of Seattle, I've
been meaning to write you about my DLG.
I've never felt so visible, and I'll swear up and down the thing saved my
tail on at least a couple of occasions. It was icing on the cake to have
pedestrians yell compliments from sidewalks, and to have cars pull me over
to ask where I got it. I've sent so many people to your website I was
contemplating asking for a commission. Hope you got a lot of orders!
Thanks for the great customer service and a great product.
Saw my wife from half a mile away!
By Jerry, San Francisco, CA. Nov. 2006.- Jerry, San Francisco, CA. Nov. 2006 2/13/2007Paul the lights are amazing and so f------ cool. My wife likes hers a lot too. This morning I had to chase her up the hill to the Palace of the Legion of Honor and I saw her when I was more than a 1/2 mile away. It was really cool because as she hustled up the hill I could see the green light spray swaying from side to side. I also beefed up our headlights making us all the more safe. You have a great product for sure, we wish you great success.
